Help help :(

Hihi all,
Im worried about my arowana that suddenly have this behavior yesterday.
I feel him dried shrimp (with the sharp head and tail removed) which he took in but spit it right out as if something was stuck in his throat..
and managed to make him eat 1-2 of it yesterday.
than earlier on, i feed him.. he can swallow the small piece of what he usually took in without trouble, but chewing hard before swallow it down.
and now, it is having the pattern of attempt to force something out from it mouth but nothing came out..
im wondering if any keeper know what happen to him? he was eating fine and swimming fine on the surface 2 day ago. and now it feel like something is stuck..
he does not stay at the bottom, but keep swimming around and doing the spit-out-action @[email protected]
he is currently 8inches big (young aro) he been eating the same dried shrimp for almost a year (as main diet) with some other variety once a while.
Thank

any video of it which feeding?? because sometimes my aro also chew and spit out..
>If dry shrimp stuck on the throat then the water should soften it, which enable aro to swallow it or spit it out. It is good idea especially you mentioned about removing head and tail prior feeding.
>Shld not be fatal.
Maybe some bits and pieces stuck at the gills area too.
Shld recover soon
>Hi bro,
Below my point for consideration.
-Check your water parameter.
-put some black water to soften the water.
- increase the temperture .
- miss out on the wc.
-change the wool/sponge.
>hi all! thank for replying T_T
my aro seem to stop doing the spit-out action, but i will record a video on his feeding time later
and actually... he seem like fine now... swimming around slowly and peacefully .__.
>Something cld be stucked. It should drop off by itself.
>Hi Bro,
I faced the same problem, mine was due to large water change and i belief i did not add enough anti-chlorine and because i opened the water too fast. I put in Multicure and treated for 2 weeks and after which the fish started eating. Try to minimise the water pressure during water change (it might take longer but its safer) and buy a quality anti-chlorine. Aros can be sensitive because i belief they are royal
